Last Sunday we held a free 'Breakfast with Santa' event for our members, volunteers and contributors, without whom we could not exist. Staged at the Guiding and Scout Hall, Clackmannan, we decorated the space to give it a more Christmassy feel.

The red carpet was rolled out, the halls were decked, and within the tables awaited.

Of course there were some special guests who had come all the way from the North Pole to have some breakfast!

They were able to go around the tables to talk to the children whilst they were having breakfast, and bring some cheer to the season.

We had two breakfast sittings this year, and Santa was worked hard!

However they both managed to get through the morning, even chasing away our panto baddie, Fatha Xmas, who arrived to take the grown-ups presents and give them all socks!

A snowball fight ensued, with the audience returning fire and Fatha Xmas was chased away by Mrs Claus.

Everybody seemed to have a great time. Many thanks to everybody who has contributed, volunteered, attended, and generally helped us over this last year - we really do appreciate the generosity of our community, who have given in so many ways - thank you all.

And with that, we wish you all a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year.

Who we are and what we do

Clackmannanshire Bumps and All is a registered charity that operates within Clackmannanshire for the benefit of the parents and carers of children within Clackmannanshire. We provide regular free 'Cuppa and Chat' sessions which are open to all parents and carers to attend as they wish without need of any referral. People can enjoy a free cuppa in a safe environment and should they wish, have the opportunity to learn or to share new crafts or skills with others. We also have a stock of clothing from our donations available to browse through, and to take home as needed.

As an extension of this, in November 2024 we started our 'Helping Hands' scheme, where we accept donations of clothing and equipment for ages 0 and up, and sort by age etc. for packaging into free 'Helping Hands' bags. This scheme, which is open to any family who needs it, runs Clackmannanshire-wide and has proven to be of great benefit to families and individuals, with over 320 bags supplied in it's first year. Recently we have set up an online shop on our website and have added some items to it for sale. You can buy and have it delivered, or save postage by choosing to collect it yourself and pay when you collect, you can pay by cash or card. We have some exciting products on the shop, and new items coming in. Give it a look!

We currently have some projects that we are working on, and some we are thinking about. Many of these can be found on our projects page.

One such project that is slowly moving forward is the Clackmannanshire Tool Library. Once we have enough inventory we will begin lending out what we have to people in Clackmannanshire. To ensure the electrical safety of any power tools or other equipment we might lend or give out, we have invested in a PAT test machine and have a fully qualified volunteer available to conduct the tests and inspections. We can also offer this service to individuals and businesses - maybe you need something tested to allow you to take it to work? Check out our PAT Testing page for more details.

The Bumps Christmas Fayre, was held on Saturday 20th December at the Clackmannan Scout and Guiding Hall, Port Street, Clackmannan. Several stall holders attended, giving a wide variety of choice for the day. We also had teas and coffees for sale for just 50p each.

We also had an ice cream van outside, serving Mr.Whippy ice cream!

It was a great day, and we are now looking forward to our next market fayre in 2026. Look out for more details here and on our Facebook group.
