Projects

PAT test unit (project is now active)

A project that had been identified was to obtain a PAT test unit to allow us to inspect and test any portable appliances we might have - initially for testing any powered tools at the tool library, but now also to help test and inspect any electrical donations we might receive, potentially helping to reduce WEEE waste. We have been able to secure a working PAT test machine, and we have a fully trained volunteer who can carry out the inspections, tests, and and any necessary repairs properly.

We are also going to make this service available to outside clients for a donation - email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. if you would like to know more.

Storage and Sorting (project is now active)

One pressing need we had was for a secure storage area for our clothing and equipment donations, where we can sort them and package our 'Helping Hands' for redistribution to those who need them. We were very glad to be able to obtain grant funding to set up this facility, and run it for the first year. We have signed up for our storage, and over the next week or two we will be building the necessary shelving and transferring our donations from our houses, sheds and garages to this central storage facility. Many thanks to Corra for providing the necessary funding through their Boost Fund and to all of our generous donators for providing the clothing and equipment, which makes this all possible.

Alloa Bumps & All (will be happening soon)

The aim to set up new 'Cuppa and Chat' sessions in other Clackmannanshire towns has been long held. We are now almost ready to establish a weekly session in Alloa, Clackmannanshire's largest town, with grants from Clackmannanshire Council and Kingdom Housing - details to follow soon!

Clackmannanshire Tool Library (early stages planning)

We are currently working on starting and running a tool library for Clackmannanshire.  Contact us if you can help out.

Laptop and Printer - Digital Inclusion

A future project that has been identified is to obtain a laptop and printer to help our group session visitors access online resources, and gain computer skills. We are currently seeking funding for this.

Tullibody Bumps & All

A future project that has been identified is to establish a 'Cuppa and Chat' session in Tullibody, Clackmannanshire's second-largest town.

Tillicoultry Bumps & All

A future project that has been identified is to establish a 'Cuppa and Chat' session in Tillicoultry, which would be our first hillfoots session.

Delivering the Goods

A future project we that has been identified is to secure the use of an electric van to aid with donation pickup and 'Helping Hands' deliveries. Ideally we are looking to make use of a medium size electric van of some sort, as some of the equipment can be bulky.

Help us find a Home

A longer term aspiration is to secure a property within Clackmannanshire in which to run groups, handle donations, and provide an outlet to create revenue for the running costs of Clackmannanshire Bumps & All - in short, to be Bumps HQ.
