Meet the Team - Agnes Neeson

Who am I?

Well, first and foremost I am a mum, a gran and a wife. My family is my world and pretty much everything I do pivots around them. I love finding out about history, especially the history of Clackmannan in particular but also the whole of Clackmannanshire. I am probably a bit boring to most folks if the topic of history comes up as I want to tell everyone just how much Scottish history is based in our wee county and in particular Clackmannan.

These days when not busy with family or Bumps and All, I can usually be found working on my latest “Hewie the Haggis” storybook for children or researching the once enormous Royal Hunting Forest of Clackmannan (neither have had much time lately).

I have had various “jobs” over the years and they mostly included caring in some way shape or form e.g. nurse, playleader, customer service etc. I have also volunteered for many years within Clackmannan, whether that was at Toddlers, Playgroup, Nursery or  School. I enjoy opening children’s minds to imagination and introducing them to the history of this amazing town we live in.

I have various hobbies including history, knitting and tapestry for the rare time I have nothing to do.

Clackmannan Bumps and All brings me the opportunity to make life a wee bit easier for the families around Clackmannanshire and gives me the privilege of meeting some amazing people, including the ladies who form the “Bumps Team”. There is no way I could do everything "Bumps" does by myself.
